The Warrington Business School in collaboration with The National Skills Academy for Retail play a key role in driving forward skills and qualifications for current and future employees within this vast sector.

Retail is the UK’s largest private sector industry with £321 billion annual turnover.  It has 2.8 million employees:- 51% in sales/customer service roles and 18% in management roles. 

There are 188,000 businesses and 286,000 stores in the UK.  These range from market stalls to multiples, with 1.2 million jobs which will need to be replaced by 2017.
