In your chosen area you will demonstrate hands on knowledge of everyday working practices along with an understanding of your industry.
You will cover industry regulations and legislation along with knowledge from your chosen sector of:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs (D or above) including English or successful completion of a Level 1 course with Functional Skills Maths and English). If you have not already achieved a Level 2 or GCSE grade C or above in English or Maths, you will be expected to work towards a qualification as part of your vocational course. This will increase your chances of employment or progression onto higher education. You will be assessed and put onto a suitable course which will enable you to achieve a qualification.
Applicants who do not meet these entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis by the Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Director.
Assessment will be a mixture of practical tasks to be completed in the workplace along with a demonstration of knowledge regarding your subject.
Assessments are planned with yourself and line manager.
