The plumbing industry continues to grow despite the current economic downturn and there is a national shortage of skilled workers. Our courses have been designed to give you the skills and confidence to progress into employment or to work for yourself, winning work and contracts.
This course includes the following topics:

Energy Efficiency,
Unvented Certificates
You will also complete the full NVQ 2 qualification (if required)
You will complete the above modules as well as the units of accreditation towards the Level 3 award. You will complete your gas training and assessment as required to complete ACS awards (CCN1+CEN1) at the end of the programme.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (C or above), including Maths and English (or Adult Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or successful completion of a Level 2 course with Functional Skills Maths and English).Applicants who do not meet these entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis by the Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Director.
You will be assessed continually throughout the course. Will I complete work placements? The College is committed to ensuring that all students benefit from the opportunity to undertake work placement whilst at College and we will support you to obtain a placement in a relevant vocational setting. Are trips and residentials organised during the course? Learners are encouraged to take part in outward bound activities. Are there any links with industry? Regular industry visits will take place throughout the course.
Following successful completion of this qualification you will be able to progress into employment within the plumbing industry or perhaps even start your own business! Are there any additional costs? Boots will be required for practical work.
