This course is aimed at international learners who are already working within the health and social care industry. This course runs over a one year period and aims to develop your knowledge, understanding and practical competence required when working within the health care sector.
The learners must attend college for 16 hours per week over 2 days. Observations by assessors will be held at individual work placements.
During your year with Warrington Collegiate you will study a range of units that will enable you to work effectively within the health care industry. You will also complete units that require practical and analytical skills of observing and planning to the level 3 standards. A range of special subjects will be studied to compliment the core units. As a significant amount of time will be spent in college classrooms and following work books including assessor on site observations.
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (C or above), including Maths and English (or Adult Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or successful completion of a Level 2 course with Functional Skills Maths and English).Valid passport and border control regulations for tier 4 learners.Applicants who do not meet these entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis by the Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Director.You do not need to apply for this course online or complete an application form. You will be continually assessed using a variety of methods for example assignments, observation of working practice and through practical activities and tasks, with verbal and written feedback provided of outcomes.
On completion of this qualification you can progress onto a higher education traning course.
