Motor Vehicle Advanced Apprenticeship

Is the course for me?

This course is designed to advance your knowledge, understanding and abilities as a vehicle mechanic. You will be selected for this programme through the interview and initial assessment process. At interview you must demonstrate an ability to achieve or have achieved a minimum of four GCSE grade C and above in Mathmatics and and English Literature/Language and an enthusiasm for this area of work.

What will I learn?

You will complete the Apprenticeship framework which includes: VCQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Technical Certificate at Level 3 Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication Level 2 Information Technology at Level 2 Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Module.

What are the entry requirements?

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (C or above), including Maths and English (or Adult Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or successful completion of a Level 2 course with Functional Skills Maths and English).Applicants who do not meet these entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis by the Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Director.You do not need to apply for this course online or complete an application form. How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed continuously through formal examinations, portfolio building, workplace observations and written assignment work.

What could I study next?

You will be able to progress your training to Motor Vehicle Management Courses or specialist programmes such as Motor Sport and Auto Electrics.
